As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you can make a difference and real impact by driving adoption of Cloud Native Application Designs within Rabobank in the Cloud Competence Center (CCC) by working together with the DevOps teams. By doing so we are able bring our services to our customers in a faster, more reliable and secure way.

Please note that this position is coupled with the Young Professional Program IT. Besides working as a Junior Cloud Engineer, you get an 18-month programme where you carry out challenging projects and get personal and professional development trainings. We will help you discover your strengths and challenge you to evolve further. We teach you to form an independent opinion, but also to experience the value of cooperation. You grow together with nine other young IT professionals and you get to also challenge the status quo.

Making a difference

You help speeding up the process for DevOps team to go on the cloud by

• Building, optimization and maintenance of the Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.
• Building cloud components, designing solutions or working on automation.
• Undertaking diverse responsibilities and full autonomy.
• Growing your knowledge on the complete technology stack (network, security, containers, etc.).
• Drive automation by utilizing infrastructure as code including yaml pipelines, ARM / Cloud Formation Templates and CI/CD Pipelines.

With you

Customer focus, enthusiasm and a quest to learn new technologies is essential for this role. In addition, it is nice that you have:

• Knowledge of Azure or AWS
• Coding skills (Python or Powershell is a plus)
• Agile development / SCRUM knowledge;
• DevOps, Git, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery knowledge.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn
• Critical thinking and assertiveness
• You like to collaborate and make things better adopting other viewpoints
• You think documenting engineering feats and doing your job understandable to others is important too
• 0-2 years of overall work experience and currently residing in the Netherlands

Depending on your knowledge, preference and team availability with cloud infrastructure you could either be placed in team Azure or team Amazon Web Services.
