Your Assignment

You are part of the Procurement team of Heineken Nederland in Leiden. This internship gives you the opportunity to gain valuable operational experience in a dynamic environment. The purpose of this internship is to support the department in the execution of various projects aimed at making optimal use of our supplier base, for example:

  • Support in the Purchase to Pay process (create new suppliers and operational contracts)
  • Respond to queries for the Purchase to Pay process on a daily basis, identifying and implementing improvement proposals.
  • Identify and analyze new opportunities based on our current spend by vendors and category;
  • Together with the various stakeholders outside procurement, convert the opportunities into concrete plans of which you also participate in the execution thereof.
  • Contribute to increasing cost awareness within the organization.

The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 1 September 2022
  • The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • You are registered at an educational institution
  • You will be based in Leiden
  • You will receive an internship fee of €500
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

For this role we are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • Last phase bachelor or master student in Business or Economics– other backgrounds will also be considered
  • Language: fluency in English & Dutch (verbally & written)
